Burglar Jailed After Doorbell Camera Catches Him Waving
A 34-year-old man was sentenced after footage showed him smiling into a Balderton family’s camera.

A man who waved at a doorbell camera while breaking into a home in Balderton has been jailed for two years and eight months.
The court heard he took a laptop, jewellery and car keys while the family were away for a weekend in August.
The judge described the footage as “the clearest identification evidence this court is likely to see this year”.
The family said they were relieved and thanked neighbours who shared the footage.
